STAGE LIGHTING
THOUSAND TIMES YES
THOUSAND TIMES YES
"Thousand Times Yes is a philosophical, haunting and poetic investigation of the limits and possibilities of language, communication, space and the body. The performance challenges the concept of opera, its aesthetics and hierarchical tradition. By telling a story of companionship and coexistence, Thousand Times Yes makes space for alternative futures."
Noga collaborated on creating a stage lighting which could shift focus from the (harsh) outside world to the (comforting) world within. The concept was further evolved to fit three different performance venues in Sweden, Denmark & Finland.
The piece is a collaboration between composer and musician Marja Ahti, librettist and set designer Jenny Kalliokulju and director Essi Kausalainen.

SEVEN DEADLY SINS
Seven Deadly Sins is a series of concert performances blending live classical music with performative elements - directed and conceptualised by enigmatic Japanese pianist & performance artist Eriko Makimura.
Noga has been invited to be the resident lighting designer and conceptual partner since the first performance GLUTTONY in 2016, with a new sin being performed each year in November at KoncertKirken in Copenhagen. The lighting design carries the storytelling in close relation with the music and steers the audience through a visually enticing landscape paired with simplistic scenography and quirky video projections.
2022 is the last and final year when the sin LUST will be presented. Find tickets and more info here: billetto.dk
