THE GALLERY

THE GALLERY

The Gallery presents nine site-specific light art pieces made by young artists for the windows of a historical building in central Copenhagen, housing co-working hub Matrikel1. The artworks are free interpretations of the theme ‘supernature’ and are chosen to represent a broad range of technologies.

The artists are all first-year students at Denmark’s only Master’s Degree programme in lighting design, at Aalborg University CPH.

Curated by Noga and Mariliis Kundla.

HØST MØN

Høst Møn is an intimate festival taking place on the island of Møn in the south of Denmark. The area is known for its unique nattier and for being a great spot for stargazing. The island has sworn to protect its night skies from light pollution in an effort recognised by The International Dark Sky Association.

The festival area is situated right next to the beach at a natural campsite with lots of trees and corners, the perfect setting for experimenting with subtle light installations made of mostly solar-driven light sources with warm colours, that doesn’t interfere with the beauty of the stars and moon above.

Noga has been the lighting design partner of the festival since 2019.
